Customer Relationship Management
The Biomedical Sales Distribution Industry has a very complex customer relationship model. These relationships between the representatives, team leaders, surgeons and Hospitals are constantly shifting. If a company does not have an effective strategy of tracking these changes then their ability to perform daily operations suffers. This system has created a unique approach for Customer Relationship Management (CRM). It uses three sections that house all the information for Employees, Surgeons and Hospitals. This provides a simple way for the users to not only accommodate all the contact information for their employees, surgeons, hospitals but also to track all of the relationship changes.
Employee –
The Unique approach to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) begins with all of your companies employees. Each employee in the company will have their own profile created in the system. These profiles are created using contact info, job title, their shipping addresses, dates of employment and their insurance information. An employee’s profile will also determine if they are going to need additional profiles in the system and if the need is there, they will automatically be created. For instance Sales Representatives will need an inventory and commissions profile for all of their sales. After a profile is submitted, it will be added to the employee listing. This listing is easy to read and simple to navigate with the use of filters and sorts. The list also has interactive email addresses making it quicker than ever to email an employee.
Surgeons -
The next step in creating this CRM model is putting the surgeons into the system. This section is very much similar to the employee section however it is creating profiles for surgeons. A surgeon profile will be created using all of the Surgeons contact information. After a profile is submitted they will be added to the surgeon listing. The surgeons for your company are the most important part of the Customer Relationship Management model. If they are not getting the products they need to complete a surgery when they need them, they will go to companies that can.
Hospitals-
The final part of this CRM model is the Hospital section. This is where all of the Hospitals will be added as well as where all the relationships will be established and re-established when needed. Just like the previous two sections a profile will be created for every hospital that your company does business in. After the profile has been submitted a relationship can be created. Each relationship will include a Sales Representative, a Team Leader a Surgeon and the Hospital. These relationships are what will steer all of the data from an order. Where the products are shipped, whose inventory will be moved, what employees are getting sales and all of the sales performance information. All of these business functions occur automatically in the system upon the submission of an order.

All of these functions will also automatically change according to any relationship adjustments made. This allows for all parties in the relationships to be accounted for when relationships are changed during a pending order. The Sales representatives will receive the right products on time, get correct sales commissions and have an accurate inventory. All of the surgeons will be able to have the products needed to successfully complete a surgery. The hospitals will have a healthy and trusting patient base. Finally your company will have all accurate and correct sales and inventory along with pleased employees and customers.
Products -
The next module in the system is where all the products will be kept. The products module is very similar to the employees and surgeon except that it is holding all products descriptions and pricing. The user has the ability to create new products and edit existing products. After the relationships are created and the products are in the system the next step would be to put orders through.
Orders-
The order section of the system is what drives all of the business operations and functions of your bio- medical sales company. It is the most frequently used module in the system with over one thousand orders being processed a month. In the Biomedical Sales industry there are several different types of orders that are being processed on a daily basis with a variety of business operations for each. Inventory movement, billing hospitals, shipping products, returning products and email notifications are examples of the different business operations that occur with orders.
Having all functions of an order done automatically by the system upon submission emits a huge work effort for your company. The orders are then the driving force behind all of the inventory information, sales performance facts and the commissions/salaries for all representatives.
Inventory -
The inventory module in the system tracks all inventory to the penny. Your company will have the ability to monitor all inventory movement on a minute by minute basis on any level. If you needed to see how much of a certain product was in a specific region, see how much inventory a rep had or even just look to see how much inventory the company had as a whole, this is where it would be done. Seeing all of this information as orders are going through makes it very easy for you to make better business decisions
on where inventory should or should not be moved. Another valuable part of the inventory module is when you see where inventory should be moved, you can do it right from here. The inventory module gives the user the ability to transfer and loan products between representatives. Sales -
As Orders are being placed and inventory is being moved around, the sales module is calculating every transaction that occurs. Every order that gets put through and any changes made on the inventory module is changing the overall sales performance. Your company will have the ability to look at a large amount of sales performance data in this module including; Quota, % to budget, turn rates, commissions etc. You will also have the ability to look at this information on any level. Whether they need to see how well a certain product is selling or see how much a region sold in a certain time frame, this is where they could see this data. This information is a great asset to your company, providing answers about sales trends by region, representative or product line so you can make productive business decisions. The Sales module also calculates all the commissions and salaries for the employees of your company. Every product they have sold changes the amount they get paid for the month. This section gives your company ability to change their commission % as well as make adjustments to salary.
Emailing -
As a company is using all the modules in the system there is a wide breadth of automatic emailing that are occurring. The system sends out emails daily, weekly, monthly, and on demand.
